JM Swank, LLC, a Brenntag company,has a private fleet employing 70+ Company Drivers. As a food ingredients distributor, JM Swank, LLC has a national network of warehouses, distribution centers and suppliers. We frequent many of the same places weekly. You’ll love our well-maintained trucks, reliable loads and great end-times on daily runs. Requires at least 1-year of solid CDL-A experience with an excellent safety record and strong employment history. Must be willing to obtain Tanker and Hazmat endorsements post-hire. Parking at company designated location. Drivers must reside within a 2-hour commute of our hiring areas.


Quick Facts:

  • Sign-On Bonus: $12,000 ($1,000/month payout for 12-months)
  • Our Company Drivers Earn: $67k-80k per year; $1,300 - $1,500 Gross Paid Weekly
  • Combination of cents per mile, drop/pick pay, safety bonuses, etc. 
  • CPM starting at .48 or .50
  • Half-cent per mile pay increase every 6 months until top pay is achieved for your area (Top Pay .50 or .52 CPM)
  • Drop Off / Pick Up Pay $15 ea. (Avg. 15-20 per week; $225-$300/week)
  • Detention Pay: $15/hr. (After 1-hour)
  • Layover Pay: $210 (For a full 24-hour period)
  • Down Time Pay: $75
  • Under 300 Miles Pay (Supplemental pay to ensure you reach the $210 daily minimum)
  • Per Diem ($36/day)
  • Safety Bonus Opportunities Quarterly and Annually. Safety Bonus Maximums: Quarterly $150 Safety, $150 fuel, and $45 E-log. Safe year bonus match is up to $600
  • New Hire Orientation Pay $150.00; individual orientation 100% online

  • Good Daily End-Times on Runs (No Overnight Driving) 
  • Average Miles Weekly: 2300+
  • We haul our own freight and run to the many of the same places weekly
  • Typically LTL; initial inbound load is typically drop hook at the warehouse and then multiple stops with live load/unload
  • Home weekly. 90% of our Driver’s load from the terminal on Sunday morning and return home on Friday afternoon for 34+ hour reset
  • 1 experienced Driver Manager assigned to you and no micro-management

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Valid CDL-A Driver's License
  • Willingness to Obtain Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements Post-hire
  • Solid Work history; Minimum 1-Year OTR recent and verifiable tractor-trailer or semi experience totaling 2080 hours or 100k miles (Not including Straight Truck or Flatbed experience)
  • Completion of truck driving school desirable
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Motor Vehicle Record Hiring Criteria:
  • No conviction in a private or commercial vehicle within the last 5 years: Driving while intoxicated, refusing or failing an alcohol or drug test, or reckless driving
  • No more than 1 motor vehicle accident, in a private or commercial vehicle, in the last 3 years determined to be preventable or having received a moving traffic citation. (Roll over, run off the road or rear end accidents are disqualifying; other accidents assessed individually.)
  • No more than 1 conviction for a moving traffic violation, committed in a private or commercial motor vehicle, in the last 3 years
  • No more than 2 unsafe violations on PSP report
  • Pass Pre-Employment DOT physical; valid medical examiners certificate required
  • Pass Background Check & Drug Screen
  • Capable of sitting for prolonged periods of time and safely climbing into and out of both a semi-tractor and trailer using three points of contact
