Job Description

Driver/Trainer ensures new company drivers are trained to high standards of deBoer Transportation. Driver/Trainer would provide the best training, as well as completion of training documentation. On-going mentoring of recently trained drivers. Driver/Trainer must be able to interact with customers and new drivers with utmost professionalism. Driver/Trainer reports to DPM, Training Manager, and Safety Director.

Other Duties

• Training new drivers according to deBoer’s training program
• Ensure the safety of new drivers during the training program 
• Documentation of new driver’s progress
• Solid customer service skills
• On going mentoring of new drivers after upgrading from deBoer’s training program
• Ability to understand and teach safety skills 

Qualifications

• Strong communication and computer skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent backing skills and operational knowledge of tractors
• Commitment to safety
• Solid work history and clean MVR
