Job Overview
If you’re an owner-operator, working with Smith Transportation provides quality loads with high payouts. Our dedicated customer base within the Midwest and Nationwide reach ensures you are always running, while providing home-time that suits your needs.
Our owner operators are averaging 2.25-2.50 per mile on ALL miles, plus FSC. We provide consistent reefer freight, personalized dispatch, and provide new trailers to pull. We have lots of drop and hook freight and very strong referral bonuses.

Requirements
- Must have a valid CDL-A license in state of residence
- Minimum of 2 years experience inthe operation of tractor/trailer equipment
- Must be 23 years or older
- Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines
- No serious or disqualifying traffic violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 12 months, or more than 4 moving violations in the past 36 months
- No preventable accidents in the last 3 years
