Quality Carriers is Seeking CDL-A Intermodal Owner Operator Truck Drivers for Local Runs

Compensation & Bonuses

• Earn daily target of $800 or more on local drayage work at CSX rail yard
• Open to local Independent Contractors/Owner Operators
• Home every day with local Chicago-based work
• CSX-supplied and maintained chassis is provided
• Detention pay when an infrequent delay occurs

Requirements & Qualifications

• Work 10 hours per day with a choice of schedules
• 24-hour operations for flexible scheduling
• No restrictions on facial hair (beards, goatees and mustaches allowed)
• Local 2-day orientation in Bedford Park, IL
• Tractor parking available in Bedford Park (mechanics on site)
• Exterior tractor cameras required and installed at QC’s expense (exoneration rate over 70% on recorded incidents/accidents)
• No Tanker, Hazmat or TWIC certification required
• Tractor: 2000 or newer with Day Cab or Sleeper - no condo roof
• Valid CDL-A: No endorsements needed
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year recent tractor trailer experience 
• Satisfactory safety / driving record

As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity as a business owner to partner with an industry leader. This work involves local drayage of containers with a choice of flexible schedules that keep you at home every day.

• PRIORITY ACCESS at CSX rail yard to avoid waiting
• Drop and hook work with no unloading
• Drayage operation with entire shift hauling:
• International containers -- Depot to Depot OR
• Domestic containers -- Depot to Warehouse
• Day shift and night shift work at round-the-clock operation
